The problem is Monsters In The Closet doesn’t really present anything new, and with the market for high school-esque pop punk slowly fading, most of these songs will fall on deaf ears.

At times it feels morbid, with its country twang, but at others, melodic and resolutely upbeat.

Grittier and sounding more like their first few albums in terms of sloppy production value, the intentions may have been noble in an up-yours punk ethos kind of way, but unfortunately the riffs are instantly forgettable.

Sadly, the record plateaus, but where else could they go?
