Album Review: A Great Big World - Is There Anybody Out There?

This record isn’t for everyone, but for all its saccharine, there is something sweet about it.

More A Great Big World More A Great Big World

Taking leaves out of the books of Death Cab For Cutie and One Direction equally, A Great Big World drop their debut record with nothing but enthusiasm. Love songs, party songs, and a (really good, actually) duet with Christina Aguilera all contribute to Is There Anybody Out There? being a reasonable pop album.

There are hooks, harmonies and some solid musicianship, with the NYC duo hitting all the right notes when required. This record isn't for everyone, but for all its saccharine, there is something sweet about it.
