Album Review: Grateful Dead - Wake Up To Find Out: Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY 3/29/90

Lead by the mercurial Jerry Garcia, just five years before he departed this world, this is a three-disc live album recorded in 1990 at New York’s Nassau Coliseum. What makes this album so special is the inclusion of guest saxophonist Branford Marsalis who trades jazz licks with Garcia. The album includes some of their staple hits like Dark Star and the groove of Turn On Your Lovelight. One of the highlights is Birdsong with Garcia and Marsalis creating a whole new sound as they exchange riffs and melodies.
