"Only a fool would argue that the 4 Stuntmen are anything but the most dangerous act at Fringe World."
As they say, the show must go on. A serious injury to Bronson Foxx requiring surgery and two to three months off (perhaps living up to his "danger-man" tag a little too much there) necessitated the emergency drafting in of the unbelievably flame retardant Hana Priest, who performed with the apocalyptic Stuntmen last year.
For this reason, it seems more than likely that the advertised "all new show" bore a striking similarity to last year's Sick And Tir3d. But with flames and steel blades coming within centimetres, even millimetres, of treasured body parts only a fool would argue that the 4 Stuntmen are anything but the most dangerous act at Fringe World.
To counterbalance the flamethrowers and a stunt with broken glass I'm really glad the kids couldn't watch, there were some moments of comedy and what I can only describe as spooky mentalist shenanigans. The show climaxed with some whirlwind swordplay and an I-can't-look-but-I-can't-look-away-either final trick that was made all the more wincing by the intrepid strongman's near total nudity and the very real possibility that if everything went horribly wrong, ambitions of fatherhood could be severed in a flash.
