Zeke Ox Baits Police With New Clip Filmed Live On Parliament House Steps

Melbourne activist and musician Ezekiel Ox has released the video for Policeman — a confronting clip, shot guerilla-style in front of Parliament House — in which three cops stand and watch Ox spit his biting lyrics about police brutality and their lack of care towards the indigenous population.

Ox says of the video, "This film clip shoot was set-up, shot and packed down in 10 minutes, the Police didn't even have time to work out what the fuck was happening. But I'll tell you what's happening, the Australian Police are removing, incarcerating and murdering Aboriginal men, women and children at massive rates, and plenty of people in this country have had enough.

"This song goes out to the victims of police violence and racism, and the people on the streets fighting back with black mob to put an end to it. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land."

The outspoken Ox has no qualms telling the police this himself — the refrain of the song features the line "P.I.G spells policeman/ Standing with their guns on stolen land", while other lyrics include, "Face facts, cops are racist as shit/ Hating on the blackfellas, killing their kids/ No explaining, no saving face/ These badge wearing suckers they're just stinking up the place/ They wouldn't need a weapon if they weren't out to hurt you".

Peculiarly, the police just stand and watch Ox, making no effort to break up the performance.
