The band will continue, however.

British indie rockers Yuck announced yesterday morning that their frontman Daniel Blumberg has left the band, on the eve of heading to New York to record their second album.

The statement, released on their Facebook page, reads as follows:

"What's up! Lots of new things have been happening in Yuck world. We're getting ready to go to New York this week to record our 2nd album! Unfortunately, Daniel won't be joining us as he's decided to focus on other things. However, new music, new tour dates, and bigger afros will be coming very soon. So get ready. GET. READY."

The band released one of the indie rock records of 2011 with their eponymous debut. As well as being lead vocalist and guitarist of the band, Blumberg was, along with guitarist Max Bloom, one of the band's founding members.
