A hay bale maze! Egg and spoon races! Twister!
This December, the cosy little town of Berry in NSW will be turned into an exquisite carnival in the form of the Fairgrounds Festival — but a carnival isn't a carnival without the youngins, right?
Festival promoters have announced a slew of activities for the kids, so while you're catching the sultry blues provided by CW Stoneking, Father John Misty and more, your spawn can check out the hay bale maze, fill their minds with magical tales at Story Time, learn about the universe at the planetarium, or competing in sack races, egg and spoon races or playing Twister.
On Friday night before the real festivities start, you can also bring the whole family out to the Fairgrounds' Cinema Under The Stars to watch the Hayao Miyazaki classic, My Neighbor Totoro as well as Searching For Sugarman.
Of course, for the adults, there will be a slew of artisan stalls and markets to dig into a range of amazing foods and wines, in between catching artists like Royal Headache, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Ratatat, Jessica Pratt and Mercury Rev.
