You Can Now Block Artists You Don't Like On Spotify

The streaming service has today introduced the feature to select devices.

Spotify have today introduced a feature allowing users to block artists they no longer want to hear.

The streaming service has started rolling out the feature to certain devices, giving users to the choice to select "Don't play this artist" on the band's Spotify profile by opening the ... menu on the top right corner.

As reported by Thurrott, it was initially thought that feature was only available through iOS but a quick tally around The Music office has found it's available on Android as well.

When blocked, artists will no longer appear on "automatically curated playlists like Discover Weekly, your Daily Mixes, as well as things like global charts" and will have to manually unblocked to appear again.

Spotify are yet to share any official word on the update. The Music has reached out to Spotify Australia for comment.
