Yep, We Have Now Reached Peak Nostalgia With This Tour

Alien Ant Farm, Lit, CKY, Hoobastank and Wheatus? Christ, the 2000's are calling and they want their fucking bands back.

Alien Ant Farm, Lit, CKY, Hoobastank and Wheatus? Christ, the 2000's are calling and they want their fucking bands back.

While I do not begrudge the capitalistic endeavours of MJR Presents or other promoters for aiming their sights at nostalgic punters and old-school markets to create very successful tours, my god, this recently announced Sing It Loud Tour is peak fucking nostalgia!

The apparently inaugural Sing It Loud Tour is coming out to Australia later in 2017, featuring Wheatus, Lit, Alien Ant Farm, CKY, and Hoobastank. This tour, which is happening in late September, will feature all five bands playing five shows across Australia together, with a different running order each night to keep things fresh. Though, I do feel sorry for the half-empty venues that CKY will play to when they get billed as the closing act on one of these shows.

Basically, this tour, which is bound to sell very well, is a who's who of Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtracks from years gone by. But to be fair, Alien Ant Farm's 'Anthology' is a pretty decent record by today's standards, and 'Calico' and 'Wish' are still utter jams. Anyway, expect all of the hits from each of the five bands; 'Movies', 'Smooth Criminal', 'The Reason', 'Teenage Dirtbag', 'My Own Worst Enemy', 'Miserable', and 'Flesh Into Gear' respectively.

I suppose that the only nostalgic and memey band that's missing from a stacked tour such as this is Smash Mouth. But high meme value ain't cheap. Either way, just make sure that you bring out your old band shirts, spiky hair, baggy jeans and wallet chains for this tour if you do end up attending - those are the compulsory conditions of entry!
