Celebrity appearances the feather in the 'X-Men X-Perience' cap
Melbourne-based fans of superpowered mutants have lucked out, living in one of the few major cities around the world to be included in 20th Century Fox's epic celebrations in honour of the impending release of the latest film to join the X-Men franchise, Days Of Future Past.
The “X-Men X-Perience”, as it has been dubbed, will see cast members Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Peter Dinklage (Bolivar Trask) and Fan Bingbing (Blink) attend a special Australian premiere in the Victorian capital on Friday, May 16.
Their co-stars James McAvoy (Professor Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Patrick Stewart (Future Xavier), Ian McKellen (Future Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman), Omar Sy (Bishop), Daniel Cundmore (Colossus), and Evan Peters (Quicksilver) will similarly disperse to locations including New York, London, Beijing, Moscow, Singapore and Sao Paulo for similar events all throughout this week.
The greater X-Men X-Perience encapsulates not just the world premiere events but a series of live chats, exclusive audio-visual content and a considerable social media campaign that you can follow on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram (xmenmovies). Stay tuned to those channels for more information regarding the Australian premiere.
The entire campaign will wind up with a Grand Finale Tumblr Chat with the cast over at the X-Men Movies Tumblr, though the time on May 16 at which that will be going down is yet to be confirmed.
