World View Cover Turning Point's 'Thursday'

And it's a really decent cover too!

Following on from their recent and bloody good 7" release, 'Waking Up', Adelaide's World View have now released a cover of Turning Point's song, 'Thursday', and it's a pretty good cover all up.

Now, if you don't know who Turning Point are, they were a hardcore straight edge band from that existed from 1988 to 1991, (and much more recently, an appearance at 2016's This Is Hardcore), who later divert from the hardcore realm and become an old-school emo band, more or less. 'Thursday' is taken from the bands first three-year stint together and with the sound that World View currently have, this was a safe but appropriate song to cover.

The faithful rendition was recorded back in August of 2015 by Lachy Pitcher (who also mixed and mastered) at Depict Studios, with the vocals recorded in October 2016, with the artwork done by Thomas Sweet.

Elsewhere in World View news, this Thursday, November 17th, the band will be playing their EP in full as they support Born Free and Expire (on their final Australian run) and you can pick up tickets for the Adelaide show at the door. Check out their cover below (it's also only $1 so don't be a stingy bastard), and as for a point of reference, go take a look at the original song right here.
