Woodlock Announce National 'The Garden' Tour

19 August 2014 | 4:53 pm | Staff Writer

The DIY workhorses will traverse six states over seventeen shows, presented by The Music!

Melburnian indie-rock trio Woodlock are following up their freshly wrapped sold-out June national tour with the announcement of yet another run of shows around the country throughout September and October, proudly presented by The Music.

The forthcoming tour is nothing to sneeze at – getting under way at The Wheatsheaf, in Adelaide, on Thursday, September 18, the jaunt will see truly DIY outfit gracing seventeen shows across six states (including, for the first time, WA and Tasmania) and three regional festivals, all in support of ambitious new single The Garden.

The Garden marks the second single to be released from their ARIA top-100-charting EP Labour Of Love, a title more fitting than one would think at first glance – Woodlock, comprised of brothers Eze and Zech Walters, with good mate Bowen Purcell, have amassed themselves an impressed-nod-worthy following on Facebook nearing the 18,000 mark despite having no label, investors, or radio support to date.

“We are blessed; we seem to have a very loyal fan base,” Eze said in a statement. “They are not just numbers on our Facebook; they are people who enjoy our music and are willing to make the effort to come and see us. It’s something we really appreciate.”

Joining Woodlock for their extensive September/October tour will be Brissy-bred six-piece alt-pop ensemble Fieu. See the Gig Guide or The Music App for a full list of dates, venues and ticketing details.
