Whitney To Play Two Laneway Sideshows

Catch Whitney in Syd and Melb

More Whitney Whitney

Chicago psych-pop outfit Whitney have revealed plans to play two east coast headline shows when they're in town early next year, coinciding with their slot on Laneway Festival.

The band — consisting of Julian Ehrlich of Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Smith Westerns, and Max Kakacek of Smith Westerns — released their debut album, Light Upon The Lake, in June this year and are already on friggin' Elton John's radar as one of his favourite new acts.

Whitney expand to a six-piece when they play live — they'll be heading to a show in Melbourne on 27 January, followed by a show in Sydney the following week. Both shows will have Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever as support.
