Described as a “bomb site” by lord mayor Robert Doyle in July, the building is in such disrepair that only the bottom two floors will be used during Melbourne Music Week ( with a capacity of 400 people upstairs and 800 downstairs). The Age also reports that asbestos has been removed from the building.
Melbourne Music Week will feature performances by local and international artists including Beaches, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Naysayer & Gilsun, Teengirl Fantasy (USA), Tim Sweeney (USA) and No Zu.
