Return of the King
Ari Gold
When Ari Gold left our screens in the final TV episode of Entourage in 2011, the crude-talking talent agent walked away from his job to reunite with his wife and head to Italy like they had always planned too. (Whoops, spoiler alert.)
But for fans of the show and those who have seen the trailer for the upcoming feature film, Gold, played by the always amazing Jeremy Piven, now works as the studio head of a film company.
So what happened in between for all of that to happen?
Warner Bros have released a four minute short film in the lead up to the release of the movie, which also happens to be an advertisement for the brand new Cadillac Ciel vehicle, to tell Ari's story.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Entourage creator Doug Ellin said of the clip: "I thought people would want to know what Ari has been doing since the show ended, so it was a perfect opportunity to do that and make a separate short film."
After spending just a week in Italy, Gold has clearly grown restless of the break and wants to return back to work, which his wife surprisingly condones — "the gesture of retiring and giving it all up" was enough for Mrs Gold.
After he spots a man who looks all too familiar to him (second spoiler, it is an Italian version of Gold, also played by Piven) he gives chase after the mystery Don Juan who drives away in the aforementioned Cadillac.
The clip ends with Gold driving in the same car through an empty road as he yells to his wife down the phone through laughter: "Baby, we're going home. I'm back!"
Cue Entourage theme song and just like that, Ari Gold really is back.
It's not the first time Piven has jumped back in to his Emmy winning character to promote the new film.
Just last week he appeared on the US Today Show as Gold and it comes as no surprise that the interview was a little wild for host Matt Lauer — check their chat out here.
The Entourage film will be released in Australian cinemas on June 4.
