London Grammar ProfileOne of last year's breakout artists London Grammar appear as though they've got a good, strong handle on their newfound fame and success, but that doesn't mean they're gonna knock back advice from one of the biggest bands in the world.
In a recent interview with The Music, ahead of their Splendour In The Grass tour, band member Dan Rothman revealed Coldplay had passed on some very wise words to the trio on chemistry when they met.
"A massive namedrop, but when we met Coldplay they stressed that importance to us, so we don't ever take it for granted, how important the chemistry of the band is," he said.
"They've always respected that chemistry and that's arguably why they've been around for so long and have been so successful, [and] I think we've learnt the importance of feeling that [too]."
Rothman also gushed about his fellow bandmate, London Grammar's leading lady Hannah Reid and how grounded she has stayed in spite of the group's meteoric rise.
"If any one person thinks they're beyond the band then the band would cease to exist," he began.
"And it's easy to go that way, it can just happen, like particularly from a lead singer point of view, and again this is where Hannah as a person, I have so much respect for her because she is such a star that really she could do it without me or Dot, but she knows that it doesn't necessarily mean that it would be right."
