Chris Michaels of WSLS 10 News is just like you: he’s a fan of modern metalcore bands and talks about them every chance he gets.
Michaels, a meteorologist, takes his chances on WSLS 10 News and shares his broadcasts that include incorporating lyrics from Korn’s Coming Undone and takes on bands like Motionless In White and Bad Omens, to his TikTok account.
“Take me past the edge, I wanna see the other side of this weather pattern,” Michaels says before the TikTok video launches into Sleep Token’s mammoth single, The Summoning, from their new album, Take Me Back To Eden, which was released last Friday.

In his most recent metal music meets weather TikTok, Michaels has taken on A Day To Remember’s Mr. Highway’s Thinking About The End from 2009’s Homesick. He somehow works “DISRESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS” into his weather forecast, encouraging 2000s and 2010s emo kids (now adults) to mosh. You can follow his TikTok account here.
Earlier this year, Adam Krueger, the Chief Meteorologist at CW39 Houston, showed off his skills on TikTok by incorporating Snoop Dogg lyrics into his weather report.
Not only does Krueger feature the lyrics of everyone from New Kids On The Block, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Cardi B in his forecasts (he gives it away and can’t stop the shindig in a video shared on his TikTok account), but in March, he won the approval of Snoop Dogg.
Krueger was able to sneak the following Snoop Dogg lines into his weather forecast report: “From the depths of the sea, back to the block”, “Follow me” x4, “Step through the fog, creep through the smog”, “Guess what? He is I and I am him”, and “It's like that and as a matter of fact (ra-ta-tat-tat)” all from Who Am I? (What’s My Name).
Snoop Dogg re-posted the TikTok to his Instagram, writing that the “Weatherman [is] on one,” accompanied by assorted emojis. Check out Adam Krueger’s videos here.
Kill Your Stereo attended the first Sleep Token show of their recent Australian tour at The Tivoli, Brisbane, last month. You can read the full review here.
