Watch The First Teaser Trailer For The Forthcoming Elton John Biopic 'Rocketman'

We got the first look at Taron Egerton as Elton John last week and now the first teaser trailer for Rocketman is here!

Set for release in May 2019 and written by Billy Elliott screenwriter Lee Hall, Rocketman will follow John's life from his emergence as a musical prodigy at London's Royal Academy of Music to launching his career as a pop music superstar while also focusing on his partnership with songwriting collaborator Bernie Taupin. 

The film is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who has just finished the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, which is due out on 1 November. 

Egerton will star alongside Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Gemma Jones and Bryce Dallas Howard in Rocketman, which is slated for release in May next year.

John has just kicked off his farewell world tour in the US and is expected to bring the show to Australia late next year.
