Sydney Guitar Festival has shredded its way into history, claiming the Guinness World Record for the largest electric guitar ensemble across the weekend.

The festival brought together 457 guitarists yesterday to smash the record, with Aussie legends The Choirboys leading a HUGE rendition of AC/DC’s Highway To Hell in Chatswood.

Not only did the festival make history, it also raised some serious funds for charity, with those who took part in the event paying an entry fee and all money raised going to the Australian Children's Music Foundation.
