PezMelburnian rapper Pez ended 2016 on a strong note with the release of his new album, Don't Look Down, back in November.
The release, which features collaborations with a raft of high-profile artists such as Paul Dempsey, Paul Kelly, fellow rapper 360 and more, arrived eight years after Pez's previous full-length, A Mind Of My Own, and was heralded by inaugural single Calling Out in the final stretch of last year.
Around the same time, he hopped on as one of the chief supports on Thundamentals' Never Say Never tour from October through December, during which time the keener punters among you would have already nicely soaked in the set of tunes, or a good portion of it.
If you're yet to twig to it, though, another chance to jump on-board has freshly arisen in the newly released video clip for infectious new cut Weekend, featuring 360 as a guest artist.
The song lyrically explores the days when both rappers spent their weeks "living for the weekend" as they soldiered through manually intensive jobs during the day so they could ply their artistry at night.
The clip uses some clever framing, tracking and editing courtesy of director Grey Ghost and DOP Nick Rieve to create a visually vibrant and engaging accompanying narrative that follows the guys as they make their way from work to play. It doesn't hurt that the song's pretty frickin' great, either.
