We were behind the scenes at ATP in Altona on the weekend.
We sent a modest little film crew along to Altona for the All Tomorrow's Parties I'll Be Your Mirror Melbourne event on the weekend just passed and they took the chance to meet up with a few of the artists on the line up to discuss all things ATP and how the music presented fits within the general ethos of the event.
Curators Deborah Kee Higgins and Barry Hogan from All Tomorrow's Parties and the members of The Drones chat about why they choose who they choose.
Melbourne band New War gush about the way the event has unfolded, Bruce Russell of The Dead C speaks about the nature of their sets and how they're far from universally adored and Spencer P Jones and Kim Salmon of the Beasts Of Bourbon tell us that they feel kinda like they're going back in time.
The Stickmen tell us why this has been a perfect event for them to reform for, Simon Bonney of Crime & The City Solution talks about pushing his music to the edge, without falling off the cliff and Brett Constantino of Sleepy Sun agrees with Bonney about the importance of tension.
