We've heard of keeping yourself busy, but this is ridiculous.
According to NBC News, Brazilian man Anthony Diaz recently underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor and played a number of songs from The Beatles during the operation to stay conscious.
In a press release from the Santa Catarina hospital, surgeons said they were able to map the man's brain activity and had a better chance to avoid injury if he was kept conscious.
The statement went on to say that while brain surgeries are usually performed under general anesthesia, tumors that are too close to areas that can impact speech and movement are best done while the patient is awake to avoid risking loss of function.
Check out the amazing video of Diaz performing Yesterday below, and we have to give it to Diaz, it's a pretty dang good performance from someone who is literally under the knife - Paul McCartney would be proud.
