Washington Covers Classic Powderfinger Track For Major Tourism Campaign

Brisbane local Washington has covered a classic Powderfinger song which is being used for an interstate domestic tourism campaign.

Released last week, the 'Brisbane. Even Better With You' campaign features Washington covering My Happiness and will be pushed through TV, radio and outdoor advertising around the country this month.

“This cover came together in a totally organic way - a real collaboration and classic Brisbo vibe," Washington said.

"The lyrics are just so tender so I loved taking the rock legend energy of the original to a quieter, more reflective place. It makes me think of my family, and home."
