Carla Geneve

Carla Geneve is a singer-songwriter hailing from the songwriter affluent Great Southern coastal city of Albany. Carla's music is shaped by her experience as a South West teenager, though her peers, local industry and music fans of all ages are touting her as the best talent to come from this music town in decades. Her debut EP,  Storm In A Teacup, was released when she was 15 years old and it pricked ears locally and across West Australia’s South West, producing offers from Fairbridge Festival (2016) and the Nannup Music Festival (2017). She dominated at BIGSOUND in September following the release of acclaimed singles Greg's Discount Chemist and Listening.

Hyclass

Hyclass has got a tremendous amount of soul intertwined with copious amounts of flavour. Described as "Perth’s very own show stopper" over the years, this outstanding MC has built a strong presence amongst the local music scene. As Hyclass continues to grow and experiment with different mediums of performance art there is no doubt her first love is music. As we slowly roll out of 2018 and into 2019, stay tuned for a fresh release on the horizon as well as a bunch of new material.

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are a four-piece psychedelic rock band who’ve been described by The Music as “resembling Jimi Hendrix fresh off the end of a light globe.” Highlights so far include supporting King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Dune Rats, Black Mountain, Goons Of Doom, Skegss, Black Mountain, releasing their debut album High Visceral Part 1 and completing a national tour around Australia.

Spacey Jane

Spacey Jane came to life in 2016 when mates Caleb and Kieran re-visited their teenage musical ambitions. Ashton and Meils were picked up through uni friendships and the ball rolled on from there. Since their first show in Caleb’s backyard, the band has shared the stage with the likes of Car Seat Headrest, Alex Lahey, British India and The Stems, along with festival appearances at Wave Rock Weekender, Gizzfest 2017, Falls Downtown 2018 and WA Day's SOTA Festival.

Stella Donnelly

Stella Donnelly is well on her way to becoming a global superstar following the release of her debut EP Thrush Metal. After being the buzz act at BIGSOUND 2017, the Perth singer-songwriter visited SXSW earlier this year and made headlines across the globe.

Strictly DT

Strictly DT moved from Seattle, Washington to Perth in 2005. Strictly DT started writing poems and songs at the age of 10 and became a recording artist at the early age of 17. Confident in his message, DT has been performing for over 10 years to his peers and community. Alongside DJ Tek, he has been blessed to support and share the stage with legendary artists like Mos Def, Common, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Tech N9ne, Downsyde, GZA, Briggs, Hau, Oddisee and many more.

Tame Impala

The sound of spacy, guitar-heavy psychedelic pop has never really gone out of fashion since the Beatles brought it to the mainstream in the late '60s, with proponents like Pink Floyd and the Flaming Lips managing to make long careers out of mining its every seam. In the 2018, there is no more popular psych-pop group than Australia's Tame Impala.

The Southern River Band

In a world where starting off a biography with "in a world where" is the norm, The Southern River Band are apparently no different. In the very same world, where labelling one's self is encouraged, where being able to describe one's style is expected, The Southern River Band neither know, nor care how to fit themselves into these pigeonholes. Head south on Perth's so-called "freeway", jump on Roe Highway, hang a right on Nicholson Road, go through the busiest roundabout in Australia, and you'll find yourself in Thornlie, the home of The Southern River Band. A country town in the heart of the suburbs, where the jukeboxes stock very little other than the very same songs you would've heard reverberating out of them in the 1970s. They say you're a product of your surroundings, who are "they"? Nobody knows. But, they're not far wrong. You're bound to find one of the boys recycling their spare change, putting on Come Back Again for the third time in the space of four hours on any given Friday arvo.

Yomi Ship

Yomi Ship is a psychedelic/experimental rock three piece instrumental band from Perth, formed mid-2016. Think Pink Floyd meets Mars Volta. Yomi Ship abandon the concise verse-chorus-verse patterns of rock, and move towards fluid, free-form oriented song structures emphasizing spontaneous emotions over calculated and estimated compositional constructions. Members have an average of just 18 years but have a combined live playing/recording experience of more than 20 years between them.
