A HUGE Grand Prize pack

The annual WAM Song Of The Year competition is once again open for business, taking submissions until January from songwriters of all ages, levels and genres.

With 16 categories to enter into, including Blues/Roots, Experimental, Punk/Hardcore and World, the Grand Prize winner will take home a giant prize pack with $3,000 cash, studio time at Albert Studios in Sydney, a prime spot on 2016 WAM Festival, a publishing/sync deal with Perfect Pitch Publishing and much more.

Last year's competition was taken out by Perth alternative-pop artist Kučka, who is still riding high from the win with a tour with Cosmo's Midnight just announced.

The full list of categories you can enter into are Blues/Roots, Country, Electronic, Experimental, Folk, Jazz, Metal/Heavy, Punk/Hardcore, Pop, Rock, Urban/Hip Hop, World, Schools (14 Years & Under), Schools (15-17), Outstanding Indigenous and Outstanding Regional.
