Wagons Announce National 'Chase The Eclipse' Tour

The Melbourne alt-country-rock stalwarts hit the road next month for the first time in a couple of years

More Wagons More Wagons

Victorian country-rock luminaries Wagons have called their couple-year-long road hiatus to a close, and have announced that they are setting out for mobile music-makin’ once more on a string of Aussie dates over the next few months for their Chase The Eclipse tour, proudly presented by The Music.

The boys will get things under way on Thursday, September 25, at Settlers Tavern, Margaret River, with the tour falling into two halves, of sorts – the first leg additionally takes in Under The Clothesline, in Perth, and Western Australia’s Wave Rock Festival, before the end of that month, before a brief pause to see them pick things back up on Melbourne Cup Eve (November 3) at the Northcote Social Club, before heading up to Brisbane and Sydney a few days later to bring the six-date sojourn to a close.

The revelation comes in the immediate wake of a rapturously received run of international shows – including in the US, where they recently launched their “absolutely stunning” latest full-length Acid Rain And Sugar Cane – and will see the band take the road slightly less travelled in the pursuit of bringing the goods to some smaller venues for the intimate sojourn.

With the overseas jaunt, the new album, as well as a vibrant and endearing claymation clip for the song from which the tour takes its name all behind them so far this year, Henry Wagons and friends are looking to round out the rewarding slog of 2014 with what they’re pegging as something of an album after-party, so you know they mean business with respect to helping you make good on your monthly revelry quota.
