The year of Wafia

More Wafia More Wafia

Brisbane native Wafia has announced a national tour that will feature a string of shows across the country throughout the month of March.

The tour is just the start of what is set to be a memorable year for the up-and-comer, who is coming off the back of her critically acclaimed debut EP XXIX released last year. It will feature five dates across the country including a notable show in her hometown at The Foundry on 24 March.

She'll also head to Toowoomba's Armitage Centre on Friday, 4 March, Perth's Jack Rabbit Slim's, Melbourne's Northcote Social and Sydney's Newtown Social, with special guests for the tour yet to be announced.

The 22-year-old Future Classic artist performed her new song Heartburn with fellow Aussie artist and collaborator Ta-ku at a special one off event at New York’s MoMA PS1 late last year, as well as performing alongside him at Field Day, Beyond The Valley, and LA’s Neuehouse Gallery.

In the meantime, Wafia will perform alongside Sampa The Great at the already sold out FCxMCA Sunday Sessions held this weekend.
