Eclectic beat makers head to Victoria.

Vulture St Tape Gang have released State High and they're bringing it to Melbourne for a 14 November show at Boney where they'll be supported by Godriguez and Wondercore Island DJs.

Brisbane based jazz improvisation Vulture St Tape Gang is composed of a neo-punk drummer, baroque/classical pianist and a synth collecting DJ. They pack a repertoire as eclectic as their line up, sampling and mixing fragments of electro '8's funk, pshychedelic jazz-rock, soul jams and hip-hop into something unrecognisable.

This is the second installment in the Vulture St Beat Tape series. Like previous effort, Hung Phat Jewellery, State High is made of completely improvised on-the-spot sessions and samples compiled from live show recordings all captured directly on a cassette four-track.
