The Sydney Opera House has today revealed the full line up for Sydney/Eora’s centrepiece contemporary music event, Vivid LIVE 2022, which is set to take place across the 27th of May until the 18th of June.
The impeccable live music curation is set to take place alongside Vivid Sydney, the annual creative festival that showcases the soul of the city in collaboration with Australia’s most boundary pushing artists, thinkers and musicians of our time.
Vivid Live is a highlight of the year for Sydney. In a city that is often portrayed as dire for arts and culture, the series of live music events across the end of May and beginning of June act as a true beacon of hope for the city, one that showcases its highest peaks as a creative, alive city.
The full lineup includes a range of incredible talent spanning the 3 weeks, with big names including Paul Kelly And His Band with Thelma Plum, Sampa The Great, Tkay Maidza, Masego, Meg Mac, Hermitude, BLESSED and many more.
Sydney Opera House Head of Contemporary Music and Vivid LIVE Curator, Ben Marshall, says, “It has been a genuine privilege to put together this year’s Vivid LIVE program for the city I love, and in doing so it’s clear that Sydney isn’t the same city it was in 2019, or 2020, or even last year.
“In 2022, we are all feeling the deep communal need to experience art and live concerts together.”
