Wollongong pop maestro Cyrus has given us an intimate new look at his latest single, Blah.
After taking time off to write for other artists and hone his craft, the singer-songwriter unveiled a bold new sound last month, today giving fans further insight into the tune with a live clip filmed at Mitchell Road Antiques in Sydney.
“Blah is about dismissing the social norms and pressures that society places on us,” Cyrus said.
“I think everyone has or will experience this sort of pressure at some point in their lives, and can identify with the lyrics of this song. Walking into this session, I told Angus (Amastro) I wanted to work on something heavy.
“It’s the most experimental session I’ve been in, and the concept for the song was literally inspired by how honest and free our time was together.”
Blah is Cyrus’ first single for 2018 and follows on from collabs with Amastro, Ned Philpot, Janeva, Feki, Simba, Hounded, M2 and more.
