"Lockdowns in Victoria and New South Wales have shaken our confidence in moving forward."

Victoria's The Lost Lands festival has been forced to postpone once again due to COVID restrictions across the country.

Originally slated for this November, the festival has been pushed to October 28 & 30, 2022.

“We really hoped to come together in November for a fabulous celebration of music and art with our wonderful festival family,” organisers said.

“We’ve held on to that possibility for as long as we can, however lockdowns in Victoria and New South Wales have shaken our confidence in moving forward.

“As a young festival, it has been both an exciting journey and a tough few years finding our feet. A more established festival can weather the risks and uncertainty our industry faces at this time a lot more easily.

“As we evolve our offering to create a COVID-safe space for families and artists, we must also ensure the festival is sustainable into the future. We’re currently in dialogue with Government to help support the festival and we’re working hard to keep the ambitious vision of the festival alive.”

Organisers have also said punters can support them during this time by holding onto their tickets, which will rollover and be valid for 2022.

“We ask that you stay aboard our fun ship as we navigate the stormy seas back to the magical land where lifelong memories are made!” they said.

“If it’s not possible, a heartfelt thanks for coming this far with us. We have so much gratitude for your support. See you all after one more trip around the sun!”

The last time The Lost Lands took place was November 2019, with a line-up that boasted Baker Boy, Gomez, Vika & Linda Bull, Regurgitator, Sampa The Great and more.
