“Australia? Next week?” Bring on the tour announcement.

Swedish punks Viagra Boys are teasing their return to Australia, sharing a hilarious video on social media in which frontman Sebastian Murphy and drummer Tor Sjödén try to book an Aussie tour.
In the video, Murphy answers the phone to a sped-up, high-pitched voice and discusses what has to be plans to tour Australia with him. He then calls over to Sjödén, who ends up Googling Austria instead of Australia.
As some fans have noticed, Amyl & The Sniffers play in the background of the video. Amyl & The Sniffers and Viagra Boys joint tour, perhaps? Or are they just honouring their Aussie friends?
“Australia? Next week?” Sjödén asks.
Bring on the tour announcement. Tour promoters Frontier Touring replied to the video with three shrimp emojis.

Viagra Boys toured Australia for the first time in December 2019, performing at Meredith Festival and locking in tour dates in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
The band were set to perform at this year’s Splendour In The Grass next month before the event was cancelled.
Splendour was set to be headlined by Kylie Minogue, Future, and Arcade Fire, with the former two dubbed festival exclusives. Other exclusive acts included Turnstile, Fontaines D.C., and DJ Seinfeld. Also billed high on the line-up were the likes of G Flip, Yeat, Hayden James, Girl In Red, and Baby Gravy (the collaborative project of Yung Gravy and bbno$).
Viagra Boys are touring in support of their third album, Cave World, released in 2022 (with deluxe tracks added last year).
In 2022, Viagra Boys performed at the Coachella and Primavera Sound music festivals and Glastonbury in 2023. Last year, the band won the Swedish Grammis Rock of the Year award and accompanied Queens Of The Stone Age on their 2023 North American tour.
