Another apple has been added to the temptations of Lost Paradise, Cabinet Of Curiosities, a late night burlesque caberet directed by Vanguard's Russall Beattie, the man crowned the King of Burlesque.
The festival will include a fully functioning Big Top circus tent, which for four hours each night will be filled aerial hoops, trapeze artists, dancers and contortionists. Beattie — who was the mind behind (among others) The Empire Strips Back: A Star Wars Burlesque Parody, Dames of Throne and Arnie: The Musical — will present his latest creations. Mysterious characters from The Ringmaster, a 6'8" balance of good taste and taboo, to The Box Headed Beauty, a jewel so rare it must be hidden from the world.
Vanguard Burlesque are filling out an already impressive bill, which already features Jamie XX, Angus & Julia Stone and many others.
