Vance Joy's Debut Album Certified Gold In The US

Aussie singer Vance Joy's profile is going from strength-to-strength overseas with confirmation today that the songwriter's debut album Dream Your Life Away has been certified Gold in the US. 

The achievement is no doubt an impressive feat for the Melbourne-born artist as his record was today announced as one of 17 that were given new certifications, including Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly and Coldplay's Ghost Stories which have both been given Platinum status. 

Joy's debut offering has already been certified Platinum in both Australia and Canada and features a number of his hit songs such as Riptide, Mess Is Mine, Georgia and Fire & The Flood, which last week placed at #16 on the triple j Hottest 100. 

The album also peaked at #1 on the ARIA Albums chart upon its release in September 2014, as well as #2 on the US Billboard Top Allternative Albums chart.
