Ticket sales weren't up to scratch for the inaugural event

It was only last week that we were praising the inaugural Vagabond Music Festival for offering lifetime entry to this year's punters. Sadly though, the event has now been postponed until further notice, with poor ticket sales the reason behind the decision.

Director Adam Taylor also said the timing of Vagabond played a big part in the lacklustre response they had to the event.

"The reason for cancelling is that the number of tickets sold was far short of the numbers we needed to produce the event. We've received lots of feedback and found that the winter timing was less than ideal. It's just too darn cold for most people."

Taylor has assured punters that organisers are researching into what would be a better time to hold the event and that they will keep those fans in the loop as to when Vagabond may be held in the future.

"After four years working to launch this event I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience to those that have purchased tickets, to the very cool team that gave their time to help establish the festival, to those that were keen to volunteer or hold a stall and of course to all the bands that were preparing to play. "

DJ Sien, Guineafowl, The Bedroom Philosopher, Fishing and more were locked in to perform over the Queen's Birthday weekend. Anyone who purchased tickets to the festival will be refunded over the coming week.
