The Used & Mark Hoppus Pay Tribute To Frontline Workers With New Video

The Used have today shared their latest video, paying tribute to frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The video is for the band's new track The Lighthouse, which features blink-182's Mark Hoppus, and came about after the group asked fans to submit videos of themselves. 

"Doubt can be an avalanche. It can cascade out and infect everything it touches. Inspiration is also infectious," explains frontman Bert McCracken. 


"The original chorus lyric was 'I can’t be your lighthouse', until I was reminded by my 6 year old daughter that I can be and I am. It helps to remember that we all have the capability to inspire someone in our own way. Please enjoy our song The Lighthouse as much as we do."

The Lighthouse features on the group's eighth studio album, Heartwork, which was released last month.

McCracken caught up with The Green Room's Neil Griffiths to the album, which he dubbed "career defining", the pressure of the band's early success and if they would ever tour with the newly reformed My Chemical Romance again.
