Bag Raiders have one of the strongest resumés in Australian dance music. The duo have a stronghold over an entire generation of Australian's perception of popular and commercial leaning dance music, proving as tastemakers and ground breaking producers in the space.
Whether soundtracking the nights of the public in heaving nightclubs, on the biggest festival stages or through one of the most iconic moments in the internet's history, the duo have done it all and are ready for even more. Dominating for over a decade, their debut self-titled record featured smash single Shooting Stars, which has amassed over 4 billion streams and clocked over 32 Platinum or Gold plaques across the world.
Their next chapter emerged this year, where the act released two singles. The first of which was heavy track URHeart, which was followed up by another late night club track, Never Forget, which is driven by a 2 step stuttering beat. The track reflects on a collage of memories of a night out, wrapped in a gloss of gorgeous production and timelessness, a quality the duo have become undeniably known for.
To get to know what the duo are spinning behind the decks right now, we asked Bag Raiders to break down the top 5 songs dominating their sets right now.

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - Forever
TEED has an uncanny ability to create the perfect balance of melancholy and party energy. I'm loving this tune lately. Beautiful vocal, synth work that’s both spacey and uplifting, and drums that just make you wanna move. This tune may have you floating and crying 15ft above the dance floor, or it might have you right in the middle of it, cutting intricate shapes with your loved ones, lets face it, it’ll probably have you doing both.
Peggy Gou - I Go (DJ Koze Remix)
Peggy!!!! One of my favorite tunes of late. Original is fire but when it comes to the club, there is something very special about this Koze remix. I love the vocal, and I’m glad it’s more front and center in this remix, but It’s the bouncy synth with the singular kick and then the rest of the 808 drums that come in later that absolutely take it into another dimension for me!! Big tune.
Caribou - You Can Do It
Sometimes we all just need to be uplifted by a helping hand. A hand that’s playing uplifting synth chords in a syncopated rhythm. Sometimes we just need to be told that we’re good enough, that we can do it. This tune does both of these things. It’s extreme dance floor motivation. Pure, magnetic, energetic, joyful. Wonderful tune. Just the sort of positivity we need more of in this world.
Cajmere - Brighter Days (Underground Goodies)
One thing about the absolute classics of house is that there is never a wrong time to play them. This remix is just so simple yet so undeniably groovy… swingin’ 909 drums, a tiny sample of the original vocal from Dajae, just chopped and placed in the perfect way. One of those things that just will make a room go absolutely crazy at the right moment.
Boston Bun - Missing You
This one hasn’t left the rotation for 5 years and for good reason. There’s always a good time to play this tune. Perfect blend of happy/sad. It’s got a nostalgia about it that takes me back to the French touch days of the very early 2000’s. Thinking of Modjo, Cassius, Daft Punk etc here. Perfect vocal loop, beautiful keys, simple, effective, just plain good!!
