'Romeo + Juliet' Performer Quindon Tarver Dies In Car Crash Aged 38

The US singer's family has confirmed the news.

US singer Quindon Tarver, known for his appearance in Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, has passed away aged 38.

As The Daily Beast reports, Tarver’s family confirmed he died in a car crash in Dallas last Friday.

As a child actor in the ‘90s, Tarver rose to fame for his covers of Prince’s When Doves Cry and Rozalla’s Everybody’s Free in Luhrmann's flick starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.

Tarver also featured in Madonna’s Like A Prayer music video and as a contestant on two seasons of American Idol.
