World-beating YouTube sensations Boyce Avenue have announced a five-date tour of Australia to round out 2016's support of their third album — and first in six years — Road Less Travelled, which was released back in April.

The trio, comprised of brothers Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano, will return to local shores for the first time since 2015 from Thursday 8 December, when they kick off their sojourn at Sydney's Enmore Theatre. The band's visit also includes showings in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.

Hard though it may be to believe, Boyce Avenue have been together for more than a decade now, having come together in 2004 before ultimately making the decision, in 2007, to upload their music to YouTube, trading heavily in covers (to this day) while developing their original oeuvre. Nine years later, the boys have accrued more than 2.1 billion views and 7.5 million subscribers, in addition to a casual half-million followers on Twitter and 3 million on Facebook. In that time, they've covered everyone from Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars to One Direction, Coldplay, Sia and even Aussie pop outfit Sheppard.

Their most recent visit to Australia brought them Down Under for last year's Nickelodeon Slimefest, while their connection to the country in 2016 has been maintained as the band have rubbed shoulders on the road with local three-piece At Sunset, who are now known as LYNK, apparently.
