"I endorse Hillary Clinton for President. She is the second-worst thing that could happen to America."
Renowned political satirist PJ O'Rourke will head to Australia this August for an exclusive show where he will deliver his take on the upcoming US election.
The event, taking place at Sydney Opera House's Concert Hall, will be held in support of the Lighthouse Lecture Series; a public program celebrating Australian independent public policy research institute The Centre For Independent Studies' 40th anniversary.
"We are delighted to welcome PJ back to Australia in the year of our 40th birthday," CIS founder and Executive Director Greg Lindsay AO said.
"He is one of the world’s most perceptive commentators, but does so in a way that invariably leaves you with a smile on your face no matter how serious the subject."

Recently commenting on the current Donald Trump/Hilary Clinton campaign, O'Rourke predictably gave back-handed assessments.
"I endorse Hillary Clinton for President. She is the second-worst thing that could happen to America," he said.
"I endorse her. And all her pomps. And all her empty promises. Better the devil you know than the Lord of the Flies on his own 757.
"I mean, she’s wrong about absolutely everything, but she’s wrong within normal parameters."
Speaking on Trump, O'Rourke continued, "I mean, this man just can’t be President.
"They’ve got this button, you know, in the briefcase. He’s going to find it."
Following the show, O'Rourke will participate in a conversation with senior fellow at the United States Studies Centre, Tom Switzer.
