UNFD Tight-Lipped On Purpose Of Secret Website

What does the countdown mean?

Melbourne-based music company UNFD have set the music industry rumour mill into overdrive this week as a website with nothing more than a countdown has attracted tens of thousands of hits.

UNFD, whose core business has traditionally been punk and hardcore, posted a link to the page singularity2013.com, as did bands like The Amity Affliction, Buried In Verona and Northlane. It has also been posted by international bands.

Multiple media outlets have speculated that the announcement – which will come midnight Thursday 21 February judging by the countdown – will reveal a new music festival, but there is no definite evidence to confirm that. At this stage, the news could also be a new signing to UNFD or a release from one of its artists.

Today UNFD's Head Of Recorded Music Luke Logemann told theMusic.com.au, “Singularity is a project we've been working on for ages and that site is going to start feeding information about it all soon. It's something we're pretty excited about so I don't wanna say much more just yet.”
