Um...Did Weezer Just Announce They're Touring Australia Next Year?

We're completely OK with this news.

More Weezer Weezer

Weezer frontman River Cuomo has seemingly let the cat out of the bag as to when the US rockers will be returning to Australia, hinting in a recent interview that they will be touring our shores in 2017.

Speaking with Herald Sun, the 45-year-old singer revealed that the band absolutely have plans to return to Australia, simply saying, "Yes ... you will see us in January".

Though no other details were given, the rumour mill is already in overdrive with claims that the timing of the trip suggests they'll be on the annual Falls Festival bill, but at this stage nothing is locked in.

Weezer last toured Australia back in 2013 in what was their first tour Down Under in 16 years.

Keep your eyes peeled on theMusic.com.au for more details on the potential tour.
