Aussie punk rockers Trophy Eyes are on their way to their highest debut ever on the ARIA Albums chart this week with their new LP, The American Dream.

According to midweek figures, the Newcastle outfit's third album is on track to debut inside the top five, following the previous record set by 2016's Chemical Miracle which peaked on the chart at #8.

The American Dream could challenge for a top three spot by week's end, where it will go up against US rapper Travis Scott's Astroworld, as well as last week's #1 album, the Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again soundtrack and Drake's Scorpion.

The news comes just days after Trophy Eyes confirmed themselves as the first act on the UNIFY 2019 line-up.

Other album debuts this week include Diesel's 30: The Greatest Hits (top ten), Mac Miller's SwimmingGraeme ConnorsFrom The Backcountry (both top 20) and Greta Van Fleet's From The Fires (top 40).

Over on the Singles chart, Drake is unlikely to be challenged and should hold the #1 spot for a fourth-straight week with In My Feelings, but Sydney acts Dean Lewis and 5 Seconds Of Summer will likely again push for top spot with Be Alright and Youngblood respectively.

Meanwhile, all single debuts this week come from Travis Scott — Sicko Mode, Stargazing (both top ten) and Butterfly Effect (top 50).
