Triple J Announces New House Party Host

It's party time.

Buckle up party people, triple j has just revealed the new host of House Party.

23-year-old hip hop and dance aficionado Ebony Boadu joins the triple j family after one of her mixes was played on the station last year.

Boadu got her break after applying for FBi's Dance Class in 2016, the mentorship program leading to her hosting spots on FBi Radio, SBS and MTV. She has since risen through the Australian club ranks and played sets at Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festival.

"When one of my mixes got played on triple j last year, it was a really big accomplishment for me," Boadu said.

"To now be hosting a weekly show where I can share music with people all over the country is super surreal.

"When I DJ, I aim to play sets that are as creative and as fun as possible, and there’s no better place to do that than on triple j’s House Party.”

Boadu replaces KLP who announced last year she was stepping away from radio to focus on her music career.

She makes her debut this Saturday 12 January at 6pm.
