"Yeah, there will be new music... Stay tuned. We'll see what happens here."
Trent Reznor has revealed that he is currently working on new Nine Inch Nails material.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Reznor mentioned that "there are some things in the works" with NIN. "Yeah, there will be new music... Stay tuned. We'll see what happens here."
The musician and producer put his work with NIN aside in 2009 to focus on his side project - with wife Mariqueen Maandig - How To Destroy Angels, whilst also embarking on new opportunities scoring films such as The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattooo.
Reznor also hinted at the possibility of live dates in the future, responding to the question with a slightly optimistic edge.

"If it feels right, it's a possibility... I never said that that wasn't going to happen, just that it couldn't go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I've enjoyed [them] and I'm enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It's a different kind of work."
