Oscar-nominated visionary filmmaker Baz Luhrmann has today revealed the first official trailer for his forthcoming film, ELVIS.
The biopic stars Austin Butler and Oscar-winning Tom Hanks and will explore the life and music of Elvis Presley (played by Butler) seen through the lens of his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (played by Hanks).
The story sees the relationship evolve and span 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom.
Also starring in the film is Helen Thomson, who plays Elvis' mother, while Richard Roxburgh portrays Elvis' father and Olivia DeJong plays Priscilla Presley.
Principal photography on ELVIS took place in Queensland.
The trailer is out now, with the film to be released in Australian cinemas on June 23.
