Hats off to you, boys.

More Totally Unicorn More Totally Unicorn

Wollongong outfit Totally Unicorn are back with the release of a brand new music video for their track April 29 Brothers, but this time the lads are coming with an important message.

And to coincide with the song release, the band are aiming to spread that message with a special limited edition shirt, with 100% of profits going towards Beyond Blue charity.

"During most of the writing process for [debut album Dream Life], a few of the band members were going through a rough time in their lives," frontman Drew Gardner said.

"April 29 Brothers holds a special place in my heart as it's a story about the day that [former member Michael Bennett] found out that his mum's battle with cancer was getting the best of her and it was also the day that my partner left me.

"It's like we could almost sense each other's pain as we bumped into one another half way walking to each other's places without even knowing the other was doing so.

"We slowly walked up King Street in Newtown together with our dogs, trying to cheer one another up by listening to each other's shit while at the same time cracking the occasional joke to try a get a smile out of one another and cheer each other up.

"It was a horrible day made that tiny bit better because we had one another to lean on. It's also just a reminder to look out for one another and help each other when shit ain't so great."
