Front Left Live returns this October.
Spotify Australia’s live playlist event Front Left Live will return this year, setting up at Melbourne’s The Forum with some of the country’s best talent in tow.
The October 9 event will feature “some of the best music from [Spotify’s] flagship Front Left playlist”, showcasing Tove Lo, Tones & I, girl in red, BENEE and Electric Fields with a to-be-announced “special international guest” rounding out the line-up.
“We were thrilled with the response to Front Left Live last year,” Spotify Australia & NZ Head of Music Culture and Editorial Alicia Sbrugnera said.
“The goal was to build a stronger Spotify playlist brand, then take it to the stage through a live event; our first major live public event in this region and the first time bringing a playlist brand to life.
“In doing so we were able to increase the listenership of the Front Left playlist and help over 500,000 fans discover more of the best and most diverse new music than ever before.”
This past weekend, Tones & I became the first Aussie artist to score a #1 single on the ARIA Singles chart in 2019, following on from a record-breaking Splendour In The Grass set.
