Tones & ITones & I has today dropped two new tracks and the first of a "bunch" of new music expected to be released in 2020.
The first, Can't Be Happy All The Time, deals with the Byron Bay-based songwriter's rapid rise to fame on the back of her global hit track, Dance Monkey.
"Can’t Be Happy All The Time is a song about the struggles of rising to fame so quickly and dealing with a dramatic change in lifestyle - the good and bad the comes with it," Tones and I said.
Of the second single, Bad Child, Tones said, "I’ve always wanted to write a song in someone else’s shoes; writing from their perspective.
"Bad Child was the first time I got to do that. It’s seeing life growing up through someone else’s eyes.
"This is the first of a bunch of songs I’m releasing this year and I can’t wait to share more.”
Tones & I is currently on tour in Europe and is scheduled to return to Australia in April for Groovin The Moo, as well as some headline shows.
