'Dance Monkey' does it again.
This week she's tied with Ed Sheeran, next week she could rewrite the ARIA chart books.
Tones & I's Dance Monkey has charted at #1 on the Singles list for the 15th-straight week, equalling the record held by Sheeran's Shape Of You in 2017. If the Byron Bay-based songwriter stays at top spot for a 16th time next week, she will stand alone with the record for the longest streak on the ARIA Singles chart in its entire history.
If that wasn't already a big-enough deal, Dance Monkey has also stayed at #1 on the UK Singles chart for six-straight weeks and seems to be cruising along.
According to Official Charts, Dance Monkey this week racked up over nine million streams and 11,450 downloads (its highest weekly downloads so far) to keep local favourite Dua Lipa's new single, Don't Start Now, at #2.
Meanwhile Tones' August-released debut EP, The Kids Are Coming, has jumped up to #5 on the Albums chart, finishing behind Kanye West's JESUS IS KING which has again topped the list.
